The Graveyard is a very short computer game designed by Auriea Harvey and Michaël Samyn. You play an old lady who visits a graveyard. You walk around, sit on a bench and listen to a song. It’s more like an explorable painting than an actual game. An experiment with realtime poetry, with storytelling without words.
The Graveyard is a free game and if you visited the link you might have also noticed that there’s an option to pay $5 to unlock the possibility of the main character dying. Two questions/thoughts popped into mind when i first read that. 1) Watching her die must add a significant emotional impact to the story and how they build up to it may be interesting. 2) Would i pay $5 to watch an old lady kick the bucket? Might seem a bit weird to most people but for me? Yeah you guessed it, I was happy to oblige.

I think it’s pretty awesome that steam likes to offer lower prices for games they host. I think it’s a business model that works and benefits everyone involved. Left 4 Dead’s weekend promo ($19.95) saw sales of that title rose by 3000%! With the cost of Anti-Piracy tools and software costing developers so much» and the cost of games staying at a ridiculous price why not just give in and lower prices just a bit?
Moving forward, Zeno Clash seems to be a fun game. Only 20 bucks thats like 1/3 of a night at the bar! Gonna have to check out The Path also on steam this weekend. Oh! forgot to mention the path is only $9.95!
Steam is definitely one of the forces behind supporting smaller development companies on the PC, XBLA being the best for consoles.

1UP streams have been pretty entertaining if you have some time to fill. This round feaures some “local” Cali players: A_Rival, MAGUS1234, Crackfiend, LPN, UltraDavid, and Haunts.
But it’s actually about about this flow chart:
